Breathtaking view and all the comforts of home!

We booked Villa Eluna for our honeymoon and could not have been happier with our decision! The booking process was easy and the owner was very responsive to our emails and questions. After you book, you can also arrange transportation and tours through the property manager.

It was our first trip to St. Lucia, but I knew we were in good hands after meeting Jennifer upon our arrival. She took such good care of us! From the beginning, she was extremely friendly, giving us a tour of the beautiful villa and walking us down to the beach to show us how close it was (3 minute walk). She also gave us a run down of the restaurants in the area, the currency conversion and other important things we needed to know. Basically, she is an amazing concierge and keeps the place spotless on top of it all. Besides the top notch staff (Ray, the gardener, keeps the pool immaculate and will bring you a variety of fresh local fruit every morning if you’d like), the highlight of Villa Eluna is the amazing view. The pictures simply do not do it justice. Our favorite thing to do was swim in the large pool, surrounded by lush gardens and fruit trees and take in the view of Petit Piton and Malgretoute Beach. In the mornings, we’d walk down to the beach and have it completely to ourselves. I’d recommend bringing your own snorkeling gear because there is some great snorkeling at the base of Petit Piton, but the water gets deep quickly and there is no lifeguard, so watch out for that!

We spent most of our time outside, but the inside of the villa is clean and modern, with gorgeous windows and doors that open so you are able to enjoy the spectacular view inside as well. We cooked a good amount and used the outdoor grill. Jennifer brought us a fresh fish one day for us to cook ourselves, and I highly recommend hiring the personal chef, Chef Basil for at least one meal during your stay. He cooked us a fantastic 3 course meal featuring fresh red snapper and had great stories about St. Lucia to share on top of it all. We ate at Boucan, Mango Tree and Jade Mountain during our stay but Chef Basil’s meal was the best by far!

We were really sad to leave Villa Eluna – it is located in a safe and quiet area of Soufriere and even our local driver said we had one of the best views/location on the island. We visited the north side of the island one day on a tour and that made us even more confident that we had made the right choice. We will definitely be back one day!

Holiday Bliss!

Undoubtedly, the island of St. Lucia is my new favourite place to vacation, and my stay at Villa Eluna is largely responsible for my new affinity! My fiancé and I just got back from our trip and it was wonderfully relaxing and romantic.

The villa is simple but very beautiful. The fact that it is so open and airy is my favourite feature of this place. With recently updated major appliances, this made our stay comfortable and easy. The grounds are lush and very private, and the picture-perfect view of the petit piton is breathtaking. The pool was always clean and the perfect temperature to help keep you cool, especially in the hot and humid late afternoons. The beds are very comfortable.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Ray the gardener would often leave us freshly cut fruit in the morning outside the back door, still warm from the sun! Jennifer the housekeeper is always cheerful and was a joy to have around. Her attention to all the small details (i.e. fresh flowers daily in the bedrooms atop freshly laundered sheets, etc.) and the cleanliness of the villa was much appreciated by us.

Staying at Villa Eluna is a guaranteed stress-free, easy-breezy relaxing vacation experience. I highly recommend it.

What a week!

This Villa is gorgeous, truly one of kind design and location. The house is perfectly perched on mountain and the Piton is right there watching over you day and night. We were blown away by the view. The house is set back from the road, so you really feel like your secluded, though still pretty close to the beach and local eats.

The house was surprisingly spacious; there was more then enough space for 2 couples to be together and also, be apart. King size beds were a great bonus! The staff were phenomenally helpful with all of our needs, and recommendations on excursions in the local area. Ray, the groundskeeper dropped off fresh fruit some mornings which we loved. We Highly recommend this very easy to love villa and island. Thanks Villa Eluna for a wonderful week and countless great memories.

Sleek style, majestic setting

Just returned from a fabulous week centered around a house that feeds the soul. The design is simple, but allows for postcard views and space for real living. Ray and Jennifer took courteous care of the property and were both true gems in accommodating us–bringing fresh fruit, newly-caught fish, and supplying good recommendations for restaurants and activities. We also arranged to have dinner cooked for us at the house one night, and Basil prepared a fantastic 4-course meal that surpassed anything we enjoyed at the nearby Dasheene restaurant. A short walk to the beach, birdsong, mountainside breezes, plus a poolside view that keeps on delivering: a vacation home that beckons you back again!

Spectacular setting, relaxing vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villa Eluna. The view of the Petit Piton is spectacular and the pool is wonderful. It turned out to be in a very desirable location, within walking distance of one beach, and a short drive to the beaches of Jalousie and Anse Chastenet. (We rented a car for the week, which is a necessity in this location.) It is also close to the sulphur springs, Ladera, and Soufriere. The housekeeper, Jennifer, and groundskeeper, Ray, were great, bringing fresh fruit and supplying helpful advice for where to eat and which beaches to go to. (We never would have known about Martha’s Tables otherwise.) The house itself was comfortable and had all the necessities. Having internet access was quite helpful.

A piece of paradise

Submitted: Dec 2010 Stayed: Dec 2010

In building this beautifully designed house in the middle of the rain forest oasis of the Pitons, the owners have created a little piece of paradise. We loved the louvered open walls, the breezes and the relaxing sounds of the forest they let in that lulled us to sleep every night. Beyond the house the setting is unparalleled. The views, the garden, the hummingbirds, the volcanoes, the fruit trees, the pool, and yes the ocean, were all perfect.

We meditated daily just being in the presence of the petit Piton, which was both grounding and awe-inspiring. The town of Soufriere is not far, nor is Jealousie Beach, the sulfur springs and countless hiking trails, such as Tet Paul and the trail to hike the Grand Piton. The only *disclaimer* is that you may experience a slight depression returning to everyday life in most cities, which means, you’ll just have to go back, as we hope to do soon.

Bliss

I can’t say enough about the beauty and LOCATION of this house. Even if you never left this house, you would be completely happy just soaking in the pool and staring at the Piton and the ocean. Every part of this house is gorgeous, inside and outside. Close to many things: Mango Tree and other thoroughly charming restaurants, thermal baths, volcano, waterfalls, and the town of Soufriere where you can get everything you need. The only drawbacks we suffered had to do with the hurricaine that blew in a week earlier: difficult road passge, and several days without water. But if I have to go without a shower, there’s no place I’d rather do it!!!

Just Stayed at Villa Eluna in July. First, the architecture is stunning. the whole front and side of the house opens up to a very intense view of Petit Piton and the Caribbean Sea. Close enough to the Sea to hear the sound of the waves as you sleep, but far enough up the hill to get a nice view of it and the little beach (10 minutes walk down a path). The beds are super comfortable (hard to get out of!) but if you do, there are many sites and adventures to go on in the vicinity…If you want to explore at all, get a car for sure! Within walking distance is the beach at the base of Petit Piton ( great to snorkel and you will be the only ones). Restaurant and bar at Stonefield Estates (entrance is kind of hidden half way up the road, towards the main road). Mineral baths and Warm Volcanic waterfall. Volcano, mud baths, Ladera bar(for a knock-out view and night cap, Anse Chastenet Beach, Jalousie Beach, Scuba all very close (5-10 min drive). Children had a great time between the pool and the beach all day long! Was paradise and will go again for sure. Ray the gardener will bring you fresh fruit daily from the gardens if you ask: mangos, bananas, coconut, papaya etc…Open the whole house up during the day…and soak up the view. Doesn’t get better than this!

Lovely Villa

We stayed at Eluna on our honeymoon. The location was great.. the house feels very secluded and is in walking distance of a beach and a few restaurants. I would recommend renting a car though, if you plan to visit other attractions. The house is unique, spacious and has very modern decor and appliances. The views from Eluna are incredible in this stunning location. The staff was great and met every need. The only slight complaint was the condition of the pool. It was green in color and we were told not to swim in it the first day. I’m assuming this isn’t a typical condition as it was blue in all the photos I’d seen prior. Overall, I highly recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
